This book contains the lecture notes for the course on ”Soil Dynamics” of the Department of Civil Engineering of the Delft University of
Technology, as given until the year 2002. This is the fourth edition, and the material may be further adapted and expanded in the future.
For some problems elementary computer programs are given, in Turbo Pascal. These programs may be used, copied and distributed without
restriction. No responsibility for any loss or damage resulting from the use of these programs is accepted, however.
The text has been prepared using the LATEX version (Lamport, 1986) of the program TEX (Knuth, 1986).
This is the version of the book in PDF format, which can be downloaded from the website <geo.verruijt.net>. It can be read using the ADOBE
ACROBAT reader.
